This detrending is intended to remove the influence of greenhouse gas-induced global warming from the analysis.

Last year was a humiliating year for the proponents of AGW, ....absolutely humiliating.
Lets hope that this year is a better year where the topic of conversation isn't about the pause in Global Warming, for all those humiliated AGW supporters.I'm alright JackComment

Now that Trenberth and the rest of the climate scientists agree that there has been a pause in the warming, the only person on the planet who denies the fact is our very own pj.
pretty soon the pause will be longer than the period of warming that started the whole fuss.
