That's pretty good then, I decided to stay away from Public Sector gigs as I couldn't be arsed with the extra fuss it's good to see it can be done though.

The problem appears to be inside government. Public sector outside of government seems unaffected.

Yes not had any hassle since they introduced it, but I've been working outside that there Londonistan

Mind you I worked with some awful contractors when I was a permie at Companies House, I often found myself thinking "Where the f*** did they find these bozo's"

I stay away from the public sector just because I tried it once. The whole IT function had been outsourced to two different providers. To say it was an object lesson in ******* up IT services would be an understatement. When I went in on day one I asked to have Java JDK installed on my PC as part of the dev tools I needed. When I left 3 months later I was still waiting. Apparently installing anything that allowed me to write my own programs was a "security risk"
