    Home Office SC(Security clearence)

    Hi,
About 18months ago, Home office has selected me for a role and did SC clearence. I received a letter saying that I have successfully sc cleared.
This was for contract role. Some budget reasons, that project is being delayed.
I contacted them recently finding whether my SC is active or not. They said it's still active and I can transfer to another client. I heard that SC will expire after 12 months(1yr) if I don't on SC role or use.
Could anybody suggests, Is this possible.
    Thank you in advance.
