    DRiverless trains

BBC News - London Underground workers start 48-hour strike

I cycle so in some ways its funny.

But even I now am getting fed up with the only bright spot in the UK economy(even if it is due to QE) being held to ransom by these overpaid morons. No - not the bankers. The tube drivers.

Get the army in and train them to drive. Then go for driverless trains.

Hey Brillo hope things are well with you.

I have 2 or 3 routes that I can take to work and only 1 is tube free, so that's what I used this morning and it was fine.

The bus part from Liverpool St was a tad busier than usual, other than that it was business as usual.

I agree maybe they can have a TFL TA, where they can call upon trained members of the public to do this.

Not sure it would go down at all well with the union but hey they claim its about ticket office staff, but it's not really, it's a show of strength which in my experience is failing on 2 counts.

    1. A lot of people are able to work from home if necessary.
    2. There is a lot of other good transport links in the city.

Enjoy your holiday in Brazil Bob Crowe, you twunt.
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

Agreed, cyclists are quite funny, but not as funny as the "superhero" joggers infesting the place this morning, square jawed middle manager types wearing a pair of shorts over their lycra

I'm sure I could find a few thousand Romanians and Bulgarians who would work harder and do a better job with good grace...

        WHS, and stay there.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

What makes you think he's on holiday in Brazil? Is it the fact that he was some days ago? Guess what, people come back from holidays.

Yesterday he was at City Hall to talk with Boris directly, but Boris refused to talk.

Victoria line has always been automated. The driver is there for reassurance and to open and close the doors....

Boris offered to talk if he cancelled the strike and he refused, and then he turned up at City Hall unannounced and 'claimed' Boris refused to talk

What makes you think Boris was even at city hall ?, guess what people go on meetings, are sometimes out of the office etc....
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.
