In 2003 it all changed. You've seen the Omen, you can guess what happened next. There was an aggressive takeover by a young group of corporate wannabes. They plundered and stripped the innocent site, changed hosts after an argument with the web admin over his socialist ways before another change in July 2005 when the evil new owner deleted all of the historical records. Moderators with no conscience were born, a kind of Orcish moderation hell born from the lovely elvish types before. Adverts added, people banned. The Dark Lord Admin had risen.
It was during this time people fled Middle CUK and General became the pit it is today. Before the dark times, sensitive posters like Churchill or Sas discussed flower arranging and woman's issues, AtW dreamt of a time before a sofa, Zeity wasn't bored.
For eleven long years we have had to put up with our new rancid overlord. It is time we rebelled and went back to the days when CUK was pure, was honest, was beautiful!!!
Rise up! Here my call!!! Rise!!! RISE!!!!!

PS: 15 years. What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions! -

True forum giants of vision and fantastic moderators of the site. They dreamt of a world where like minded contractors shared ideas and Plan Bs in an ad-free site of joie de vivre, love for their fellow man and charity giving.
