    Scotland's new currency

    I've been thinking, after George begun the dirty campaign today, that this is Scotland's opportunity to create it's currency.

    Neep = 1

    Tatties = 10

    Turnip = 50

    That'll cost you Two turnips & twenty neeps.

    Deep fried Mars bar = 100 Tatties

    Heart attack = 10 DFMB.

    A Bucky = 2 heart attacks.
    Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

      How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

        A Square Go = 1 heart attack ?
        Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

        No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

          Bucks

          "estimated 300,000 red deer in Scotland"

          "A shortage of coins in North America in the 18th century led to the use of buckskins instead.
          The state of Franklin (now known as Tennessee) paid their officials’ salaries in deer skins – the
          Governor received 1000 skins per year, and the Chief Justice 500. The word “bucks” remains in the American language today as the slang for dollar."

The SNP are mad if they think we would, just goes to show how ill thought out their get rid of the English but keep them cos we desperately need them scheme actually is.
            While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

              +1
              Too much was taken for granted in their proposal. If Scotland wants to stand alone then do it, not stand alone but keep the bits they like to prop them up

                I think the point is missed. Many undecided voters would have had 'devo max' in a heartbeat. Today George has offered those voters this option. He says look use the pound if you want (nothing / nobody can stop nobody using the currency of their choice) whilst you control your own taxes etc, but you'll not have a say in policy.

                Economically Scotland is currently outperforming the rest of the UK at the minute, low interest rates shall only fuel this growth.

                I'll bet you the Yes folk will see growth over the next month. It's probably what George wants in the first place.

                  No currency unions means that Scotland will be debt free because there is no way it would ever assume any of the GBP denominated debt, so stupid Osborne in effect accepts that this would be the case.

                  So Scotland will be the country with zero debt and currency backed by oil and low tax regime for ex-City Banks...

                    If that's the case then there will be a resounding "YES" vote come September
