    not cut out for IT?

I spent around 3 hrs last week trying to work out why the middle mouse button wasn't opening links in a new tab any more. Disabled all the add-ons in firefox, tried a different browser, used the mouse on my laptop (that worked), re-installed the driver, restored the system to two weeks ago. Then I gave up, I have right click set to open a new tab anyway for when I use a trackpad.

Clicked on the mouse wheel tonight without thinking and a new tab opened

I've got a new Lenovo laptop at clientCo.

It's got the ctrl + fn keys swapped.

I think it's going to drive me insane.

Why is the FN key on the outside left instead of C... - Lenovo Community

Apparently on some models you can swap it in the BIOS - will be checking as soon as I get to the office.

I've no Idea why lenovo persist with that stupid layout.
They've even had to add a bios fix:
How can I swap the Fn (Function) and Ctrl (Control) keys

Yay, it worked! Unfortunately on my model the keys are different sizes, so can't physically swap, but I can live with that

I have a Lenovo ideapad, it is the tuliptest laptop I have even owned. Keyboard layout is terrible. Trackpad is terrible, monitor is terrible. "T" Squeaks.

A Mac has only one button. Works great.

Mac, keeping simple since the beginning.
