So presumably gay, black, brown, female, or pro-EU businesses are free not to serve Mr Farage and his friends?

      That seem fair enough.

That could also mean employers would free to discriminate and request foreign workers only. Be careful what you wish!

ah but this is an extension of the thread a while back about a council forcing a taxi driver to take on a disabled fare which would end up costing said taxi driver money or soemnthing.

Yes any business should be able to sell goods to who they want and turn away who they want.

However why would any sensible business owner turn away 50%+ of the population - it is just rubbish business sense and will cause your business to fail!

I would add that if businesses choose to turn away more than half the population (women about 50%, gays between 5 and 10% and black people I think between 5 and 10%), then when they go bust as a consequence, the owners should lose limited liability rights for being cretins and should not receive any state benefits; I don't see why women, black people and gay people should pay NI contributions to finance the benefits of sexist, racist, homophobic losers.

Am also thinking about all the cases of B&B owners turning away gay people because it conflicts with their religious beliefs.

It would appear that these people actually want to live in a world full of middle aged slightly podgy white men. While the backlash against years of PC is understandable, that's a bit of a scary thought.

they are permitted to already, businesses reserve the right to refuse to serve, they cannot make that decision based on discriminatory grounds. You can refuse admittance because of say a dress code or behaviour which is why pub or shoplifting bans work, but you can't say "oi you are black or gay get out".
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Interestingly, Guardian take is largely pro UKiP.

If UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question.
