Get down to your local rescue and adopt one (or more) unwanted or abandoned ones that need homes.

Kittens always get homed, and breeders can always sell them. It's the poor sods that end up in the rescue for no fault of their own that need it the most.

Besides, nothing beats a British Standard Moggy it comes to cats.

WDBS, local branch of Cats Protection or RSPCA will probably have some moggies looking for a new home.
