How can you lose a plane? Surely they've got live trackers?

I thought they found an oil slick?

Anyway most likely the North Koreans shot it down.

Terrorism is the first thing that springs to mind, but normally someone would be claiming it by now.

Oil slick stuff seems at best uncertain.

"A Vietnamese search plane saw two possible oil slicks in the area, although there was no confirmation they were related to the disappearance."

          And...

"It has been reported that two passengers who were listed on the plane's manifest - an Italian and an Austrian - were not actually on the flight.

They both reportedly had their passports stolen in Thailand"

Why do we bother with airport security if you can board a plane with a stolen passport?

            Because you can....

One European security official said it wasn't uncommon for passengers to board flights using stolen passports.

Are you going to climb it for a better view?

Good idea; poke around in the water until you find a large aeroplane shaped object.
