    Entertaining Days out in London

Would appreciate some suggestions for things to do in and around London. Restaurants, attractions, walks, anything..

I've got a few days off with the Mrs. We've done the usual touristy things so I'm interested in stuff you wouldn't find on the usual tourist route.

    Cheers

    edit.. Suggestions so far:

    Oxo Tower
    Rules Restaurant
    Wallace Collection
    Richmond Park
    Afternoon tea Dorchester/Ritz
    Boutique Hotel
    Up At the O2
    Gin Tour
    Burlesque Clubs
    Cabaret
    Heron Tower
    The Shard

Take her up the Oxo Tower, she'll never forget the experience
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Mrs MUN and I went to the restaurant 'Rules', apparently it is the oldest in London. Nice place, good food.

Wallace collection isn't that well known. I like the zoo and museums myself, and walking down the side of the river. And the parks. Richmond park is nice.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I would recommend afternoon tea at one of the more prestigious hotels like the Dorchester or the Ritz type thing. Cost you an arm and a leg but the ladies tend to enjoy it.

Have you booked a hotel yet? I would also recommend finding a boutique type hotel rather than the standard faire. Can often be on par price wise and if you get a good one it can add a bit of panache to your weekend.

Take her up the O2 if she doesn't like the idea of being taken up the OXO. Couple friends did it the other week and seemed to enjoy it. Something a bit different I guess.

Either of you drink Gin? Could do a Gin Tour. No idea how touristy it is but sounds a bit different.
