        I would be quite happy with a pound note coming back. I hate paying for everything with a £50 note and the bastard behind the till thinks it's funny to give me as many pound coins as he has just to be smart. Dollar bills in the US work pretty well IMO.

          When I were a lad, a bag of crisps cost sixpence (that's 2.5 new pennies to you youngsters)

          A bag of crisps now costs 60p, so by the time the new pound coin comes out crisps will probably cost £1.

          So that why they've made it look like thruppence.

                    I like £20s. They are a good size, worth a bit, generally satisfying sort of note to have a wodge of.
