    Job of the day

    "Qualifications
    • Must be a Christian, having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Must also agree with our statement of faith and conduct him/herself in a Christ-like manner."

So if you crucify yourself at the interview, they'll give you the job ?
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Not exactly that amusing if you provide the context what the job is:

          It means being a Christian.

They probably use that phrasing to highlight they want an actual believing Christian, not someone who identifies as a Christian because their parents were or because they were baptised or whatever.

They just want to weed out the folks who are "dead in trespasses and sins".
If UKIP are the answer, then it must have been a very stupid question.

Apparently not. At the bottom of the page:
"Pursuant to the Civil Rights Act Section 702, Bible League International has the right to and will only hire candidates who agree with Bible League International's Statement of Faith and profess Christ as their personal Lord and Savior."

I had a job spec from Marie Stopes a few years back. I can't remember the exact phrasing, but basically it specified that you had to embrace and promote their values. Considering what their values are objectively, and taking into account the allegations that they promote abortion for reasons of low income in developing countries, how could a Christian meet the conditions they put in place?
