        it's no big deal but she effectively got sacked by google for trying to poach an apple employee because Apple and Google have decided to make a pact to not recruit each others staff thus removing free competition and effectively being able to artificially suppress wages

                This practice was alive and well in the UK in the 70s. My first "proper job" employer operated a similar policy with other companies in the area who were in the same technical field.
