Ex contractors will not be considered

    See job ad here:
    Management Consultant/Advisory Services/Project Manager - London - March-25-2014 (DL6YT)

Is it even legal to say that? I mean if it would say over 50's, women, Irish or blacks, hell would break lose

It's not all encompassing, with the discrimination laws, if it's not explicitly covered in legislation it's legal
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Of course it's legal. The client probably had their fingers burnt with a contractor faithfully promising that he'd left all that behind him before jumping ship for a decent contract 2 months into the role.

Looking at the pay scale the only reason an ex contractor would take that is to either skill up or get back off the bench. Either way they will be gone within a year.

                It's legal.

Some firms (admittedly not many) have a policy of not hiring people who smoke.

In fact, there was quite a well publicised case a few years ago in which a new starter at this company enquired as to where she should go for a smoke. Minutes later, she was sacked. The agency had neglected to inform her of the company's draconian anti smoking policy.
