Idle curiosity really, since it's year-end time for d000hgCo.

I was just wondering why do they call it a "made up date". Why not make everything up like in the daily mail? While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'Comment

When the big bill comes in from the taxman and gets filed in filing cabinet no. 13 I have no idea which is why I have an accountant to do this stuff for me...“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

End of November, because that's when the company was set up. VAT is out of sync with that date as well.
My thinking is that a January year end would clash with personal tax returns, so if you need any accountancy advice they may be too busy. Likewise March / April.
The downside of having a November year end is that the corporation tax needs to be paid and filed over the summer, which has caused issues in the past when I go away for a month.Comment
