Something impressive in England for once?

BBC News - Dawlish's storm-damaged railway line reopens

I thought this would be out for months, nice to see things can still be done without 18 months of bureaucracy sometimes. Clearly it's been chosen as the focus of repair efforts for political gain too - handing out rock, nice media interest for Cameron to gab about while Somerset is left soggy?

I just hope they did a proper job and it doesn't fall down in 5 years.

The sensible thing would be to open a new line that misses the coastline out altogether, but no I bet they're smugly thinking mission accomplished
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

That would be a crap solution.

        German sub contractors.

        Happy to help.

We do impressive stuff all the time - it gets taken for granted, but agreed this is worthy of praise.
