ROC have been sending me some right tulipe recently.

Also, are any Indian agencies worth dealing with? If I can be arsed to go to the effort of understanding them, the e-mails and job descriptions they send through are a total joke. And I can't tell if they're just piss takers or if they think this is how to negotiate, but expecting to pay less than my usual local dayrate for a job abroad is just laughable. Who are actually using these people? I really don't understand how they're being asked to recruit - old boys network?

I actually had a phone interview with one - I got bored after 40 minutes and openly argued with them on the last question because they so painfully wrong about the real world application of the tech.

I've just deleted an email from an agent for a WebSphere MQ/Broker specialist. Based in Central London for a "leading Investment Bank." Rate: £300 / day.

I was going to email back some sarcastic reply, but a quick flick on Jobserve showed many such roles with even more depressing rates - and in London.

Thank god I got out of the WebSphere Infrastructure stuff five years ago.

            Nope. Bob agencies or consultancies.

Had a phone interview with a Bob consultancy a few months back. On my mobile, and it seemd about 10 of them asking questions. Didnt go well.

They all seemed to be trying to outdo themselves asking the most obscure and clever tech questions. Completely pointless and silly.

I have found that Barclays rates fluctuate greatly from month to month. No doubt they will pickup again once the next lot clear out and find better contracts. Though some part of me misses Radbroke, I am glad I got out after 18 months, hopefully a long break before I return to the place once more....

Really? I don't mean this in a stuck up way, but perhaps consider changing line of expertise?
