    Get in the Hole!

An exclamation that is going to be bouncing off the walls at Gricer Towers this weekend as myself and a selected group of like minded individuals watch a group of men swinging their wood around the azalea fringed fairways of Augusta.

And I can't wait. Masters weekend is the most exciting period in the sporting calendar and I have to stop myself rubbing my hands together in glee every time I think about it.

Just 2 more sleeps to go!

Anyhow, a look ahead to the weekend's action.

I'm very disappointed that Woods isn't playing; I think every major in which he features will have the narrative of an all time great approaching the autumn of his career and the big question of whether he's going to have an Indian Summer and eclipse that record held by Jack Nicklaus.

I think McIlroy will be there or thereabouts and , dead branches aside, won't blow it if he's in contention.

My dark horse is Francesco Molinari. I've been predicting big things for the Molinari brothers for some time now and I think this could be the year they become the Williams Sisters of golf (though I'm not sure Eduardo has an invitation to this year's event).

If pushed, I think I'd back Mickelson to take the 2014 Green Jacket. That said, I just don't have the stones to bet against Lefty at Augusta. He confounds me every time and, with Woods out of the field, that's one gremlin fewer for Phil to deal with.

Anyway, Malc and I are very much relishing being stretched out on our lazy-boys for the big event. What are you doing for the Masters?

Going to be watching the Par 3 Tourney, and 4 days of golf heaven...

Where are you based Gricer? I am down in Surrey, if you are close by, I can host a round at New Zealand?
I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).

I'm in Somerset. I've never played at New Zealand but I've had a couple of rounds at Sutton Green.

I'll let you know if I'm ever over that way and we'll have to hook up.

Enjoy - Personally, even though I can't stand Tiger, as a person, the Masters without him is going to be like Glastonbury without the Pyramid Stage? I won't miss the spitting, cursing and general unpleasant demeanour...

Have you ever been in a Tiger gallery?

I have at the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in 2010.

Anyone who shouts "get in the hole" on a golf course should be shot really dead.

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.
