Virtualisation and Server migrations finished 6 days early!

I had 9 days to virtualise and migrate 18 servers to a new datacentre, as the current site hosting the servers is shutting

I've just finished testing everything after a long 3 days, yesterday was a bitch start at 7:30 am finish at 10pm and then start again at 7am this morning

For someone who usually does development work, it was a bind to get lumped with it, but for once I still the credit

Now quaffing pints of Tanglefoot and living the dream
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Nice work, but I presume this doesn't mean getting canned early?

Is it still up and running then? Checked your phone for alerts to say the whole network is down yet Be great to get one when you are legless

Nope lots of tanglefoot consumed, phone on silent, no text alerts anyway to show any server problems, and a bonus I don't have to work the bank holiday when I really need to be packing my possessions up for when we move house shortly

Just checked servers and nothings broken, not bad after being chucked around Poland, Holland, South America, America and India for tech support from just one of the companies products, it's been hair pulling especially when one enterprise cms uses an ant build from a batch file for any configuration changes, it deletes all it's services and rebuilds or in my case it deletes it's services, McAfee then kicks in and stops it rebuilding by blocking communication with the database

Playing John McAfees how to uninstall McAfee videoon the big status monitor in the office was at least some comeback....
