Getting to work through the tube strike

Yesterday was great Bus was ok but like a sardine can and for an hour I couldn't move, Made the mistake of sitting next to a whining trout who spent 40 minutes having her weekly session with her shrink on the bus next to me because she couldn't get there. She was not quiet or discreet either.

We went through the whole spectrum of not getting quality time with her friends and all men are bastards and yada yada yada. She was at it non-stop for the whole time, the shrink must have put the phone down on the table and been watching tv and umm, ahhing the whole time. Bet they charged a grand for that lol.

By the time she got off I almost got off with her and threw myself under the bus.

    How did your trip(s) go?

My walk downstairs to the office was uneventful. I did have to remove some random toast from the toaster though. Ms doodab often puts it on before taking the kids to school and forgets that it's there.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Fantastic 4 1/2 mile walk in the sunshine. I love walking in London.

Did the same today, yesterday I tried to be a hero but today, I am peripatetic. Today's journey was remarkably short.

I tripped over some of the stuff piled on the stairs up to the study, where I work.

One day the North Koreans will write an opera about this deed.

It can be lovely. I often used to walk some or all of the way from Waterloo to the City or West End (depending on the gig). The stroll along the banks of the Thames is nice, so is walking past St Pauls and down the Strand, or via Covent Garden & Tottenham Court Road, and it gives me a chance to look in the shops.

Drive was pretty much as normal. Some stop start traffic on the M40, but not too bad.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

10 minute drive to work, full english breakfast at client site followed by filter coffee and a big dump to get my billings worth
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Next time you're near St. Paul's may I respectfully suggest you stop off in my favourite place in London. See sig (updated due to incessant whining by the body politic).
