UKIP Vs Good Old fashioned self interest

The bile and hatred (as opposed to reasoned argument) poured onto Nigel Farage and the smearing of him and his party UKIP by IT contractors is at odds with the conservative ideology that underpins their philosophy. UKIP essentially are a party of the right that seeks to return power and responsibility to the individual and dismantle the large undemocratic EU. It has little truck with the collective empires embodied in big business and big government.

IT contractors like the fact that they are individuals, enjoying the right of self determination, freedom from the collective environments of permiedom. So why when these two groups seem to have so much in common do they loathe the presence of UKIP?

It is simple really. IT contractors are part of the wealthy elite of Europe. They earn vast amounts of money whilst paying little tax (compared to permie people). Freedom of movement of labour has broadened their market enormously, doubly so by virtue of the fact that everyone speaks English. The EU has broken down the forces of Nationalism and forced every citizen of Europe to learn English.

The British contractor's EU market is literally its Oyster. Unfortunately they look at UKIP as a threat to this privileged entitlement. So much do they want to cling on to their gravy train they don't bother with the argument of what UKIP is saying instead they see it through their own prism of self interest.
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone

I've found it very surprising too that 99.9% (that means, for the benefit of spelling bee, something like 'almost entirely' - like when your mum tells you that she almost entirely doesn't wish you had been just a trapped fart) of contractors here are raving socialists and wannabe despots.

Maybe if everyone sacked their accountant for a year to remind themselves of all of that paperwork they're forced to do they'll regain their senses!

UKIP are mocked because they are a politically naive single issue party. They might have something useful to say about Europe but that is their limit, they have nothing to offer British politics at a national level, and they seem to consist of one guy who can be taken vaguely seriously and a lot of clowns who keep putting their foot in it.

Farage would do better to stand for parliament as an anti-european independent IMO. He won't because he's too busy with his snout in the gravy boat to care. ONce he had to deal with local issues he'd be running a significant risk of having nothing to offer and losing as well, and that would be game over.

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Labour and the Liberals have nothing to offer British politics at any level but have managed to make a career out of it
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I'd disagree. Arguably the most successful and widely appreciated policy of the current government is the raising of the income tax personal allowance to £10k and that was a liberal policy that the tories have been happy to try and take credit for. More importantly they contribute to the debate on domestic issues such as education, policing and NHS reform, offering an alternative view (which you may or may not like, but it's there) and UKIP simply don't.

UKIP aren't and won't be a national force until they engage with national politics.

Is DA voting UKIP at the next election? I thought there would be snowballs in hell(or OG making a sensible post) before he voted anything other than Tory.

The EU is irrelevant for contracting in europe as 90% of advertised european contracts require business fluency in the local language. Even if the UK left the EU most IT contractors have the required skills to obtain a visa. I would rather have the conservatives negotiating the UK departure that a bunch of UKIP racists.
Why is the UK market flooded with Indians who are not even in the EU?

Because they are cheap, make the big firms happy and keep wages down, a gift from Gordon that CMD quite likes. They used the Eastern Europeans the same way.

The point is that if we leave the EU then you will either have to stop issuing visas to Indians or issue visas to the whole world including EU , as you cannot racially exclude East Europeans.
