Things we just don't seem to do any more

Sitting at home on the sick list. Ordered to rest. Look like Ploppy out of blackadder.

I noticed our old teapot in the cupboard. Quite excited about a proper cup of tea. Don't know how or why I ever switched to tea bags. Convenience I spose, but you can taste the paper.

I'm going to insist we have Sunday afternoon tea, with no games consoles, mobile phones or interruptions. Only crotcheted doilies and a slice of batten burg cake.

What other customs from grandparents era do you miss and would be a novel and possibly life enhancing thing to reintroduce?
Knock first as I might be balancing my chakras.

I can remember my grandad used to like "listening" to their coal fire burning away, all the cracks and hisses. No telly or wireless was allowed on.

Most frustrating when I wanted to watch Bod. Mind you he died a few years later of emphysema and senile dementia so he could have been listening to "anything".

He had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

I went to the Richmond Tea Rooms with my wife and some friends on Saturday night.

Proper tea, on vintage china, served at 11pm.

I remember the custom of spitting out tea-leaves whenever I went to my Grandparents' house.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

No shopping on Sunday. Do something else instead.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Collecting gollywogs, my gf is to scared to display them in the house lest anyone calls the police.
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Bread and butter pudding for me, chocolate fudge cake for MrsF and a friend, brownie for another and Victoria sponge cake for the last.

B&B pudding is my favourite, I would be all over that.
