    Targeted advertising

Just reading my digital copy of Scientific American. It has adverts for Porches and Viagra
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I tend to get adverts trying to sell me what I've just been researching for online purchases. But they don't start until after I've bought the stuff, so I can't see the point.

The point is probably to target procrastinators such as myself. I almost invariably take ages to buy things once I've decided I want them.

I think I'd prefer something a bit less likely to split.
