    Iraq is back

Al-Qaeda seizes Iraq's third-largest city as terrified residents flee - Telegraph

Maybe we should invade - that would sort out the issue?

My fav quote ""Mosul now is like hell". Has it ever been anything else?

Mosul - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mosul was promoted to the status of capital of Mesopotamia under the Umayyads in the 8th century, during which it reached a peak of prosperity. During the Abbassid era it was an important trading centre because of its strategic location astride the trade routes to India, Persia, and the Mediterranean.

Freedom's untidy, and free people are free to make mistakes and commit crimes and do bad things. They're also free to live their lives and do wonderful things. And that's what's going to happen here

no he just murdered tens of thousands.

Iraq was never going to be sensible any time soon.

Should have kept away from it.

What they need is a strong leader not afraid to wipe out opposition, such a pity the last Dictator didn't like Dollars. The west didn't care until he started using Euros.

Won't anyone think of the WMD
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

                This is actually pretty serious......

Seems to be mini states of al qaeda appearing not only in Syria but now also in Iraq. Could happen to Jordan, Lebanon (already kind of happened) and elsewhere.

                This is not good.

That was the plan all along. We knew that the opposition in Syria was al qaeda. We knew the opposition in Libya was al qaeda. We know that the revolutionary ukranian authorities are neo nazi ultra nationalists, etc, etc.
