    Dirty Spekulants in dissarray

It looks like Greepeace have lost 3 million betting on the currency markets and the whole finance division is in dissarray.
Remember, this is the guardian, not well known for being anti-greenie

The other papers printed this story last week. The Guardian were waiting for the right moment to bury bad news.

yep, but that was a right wing sceptical consiracy theory. This is good honest left wing investigative journalism

Greenpeace gets most of its income in Euros and so enters into Forex contracts to protect its income stream. Seems someone took out a few contracts over and above his pay grade without adequate controls - a rogue trader if you will - and they went bad. He's been shown the door.

Embarrassing, but only newsworthy 'cos its a green charity. Unless you're some kind of zealot.

Greenpeace and other campaigners around the world celebrate as technically unviable, massively environmental damaging multiple dams project, delivering power for copper mining and opposed by a majority of Chileans is cancelled.

FFS, you don't really expect a balanced report on an environmental story in El Reg?

But aren't all renewable power generation projects technically unviable, massively environmentally damaging and opposed by the majority? Doesn't seem to stop the whittering about carbon emissions.

executives jetting from Lux to Ne, currency spekulation, causing corporate hardship and distress, booted out of India for bringing hardship to the poor

its about time the occupy movement sorted these greenpeace fatcats out

Luxembourg to Amsterdam is about the same as London to Leeds, hardly a long haul. And Greenpeace is still very much active in India.

C'mon, this is very lacklustre zealotry. Must do better. The only reason I let you have the last word on the 'Telegraph' thread was cos'it was so feeble.
