                    But surely it's exactly what the Conservatives would like - a market with market forces dictating prices. If non-competitive farmers go out of business then fair enough, instead of them being subsidised by the tax payer as they are now.

                    The US can't import their meat here as steroid fed meet is banned here. Unless we change the law of course when they demand it as part of their free trade deal.
