      Wondering if this was manufactured...

Several things that I was in line to start / know about have all been inexplicably delayed due to funding and business cases being stalled.

Retail sales growth boosted by clothing - BBC News

UK retail sales grew by 1% in August compared with the previous month, with sales of clothing and non-essential items reported as strong.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) also said that compared with last August, sales volumes were 2.4% higher.

It was the 52nd month in a row that sales have risen
        .
        I blame Brexit.

It is now so abundantly clear that Brexit isn't going to happen, that I might buy some more British stocks.

          I'm alright Jack

12 months of continuous downturn, job losses, poor economic data - one seemingly bit of good news and it is successful Brexit!

UK economy to slow rapidly in 2018 as hard Brexit looms, OECD forecasts

While you were away we decided not to talk about Brexit , it was causing a lot of fear and depression as the real truth of the decision was unfolding before our eyes, and that was just the leavers.
