So basically all that palaver this evening in the Commons came to:

    - totally rejecting May's deal, the one legally agreed with the EU
    - totally rejecting a No Deal
    - totally rejecting the power to stop a no deal
    - voting to give the PM a mandate to change a backstop she negotiated that has already been rejected by negotiation partners

Honestly, you really couldn't make it up...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

I don't think a win by 8 votes is totally rejecting no deal. It was hardly unanimous and not legally binding anyway. If 8 out of 630 ish is overwhelming what does 4% in a referendum become?

Yes but there's legs left in this panto yet.

May has a mandate to go back to Brussels to renegotiate a new deal, possibly based on the old deal, in only 2 weeks before we are all back in parliament for another merry-go-round with more of the same amendments etc., etc., etc., etc. The only good thing to come out of last night it that the panto still has a limited performance end date of 29th March 2019. Although there are some that think the show is so good it should be given an extended season

If the EU rejects May's negotiation of the backstop and it doesn't go through it basically means a GE and Corbyn, or a second referendum.

May's deal is the only deal in town.

              be afraid, be very afraid.

              I'm alright Jack

                Reopening the negotiation isn’t a one-way street.

Expect Gibraltar and fishing rights to be back on the table....

If you had started with the correct figures, then your maths might have been closer. Best go back and try again.

The Brexiteers are now desperately scrabbling around for some face saving measure so they can cave, however their street cred will be 0.

We've reached the point when all outcomes are hilarious.
