    Europe in 2020

The UK left the EU without a deal on 29th March 2019. There was initially alot of disruption. But then life carried on.

The UK standards dropped causing: -
    1. a large influx of suspect financial activity. IBs are starting to behave more like landlord than tenants in the city.
    2. food to be exported to Eire from NI.

The EU is trying to force Eire to build a wall to NI - saying the UK will pay for it. Eire are faced with expulsion from the EU.

The UK poor are suffering while the rich are doing very well.

I rather see financial meltdown is coming. Fake financialised economy sustained by schemes like 'Help to Buy', Quantitative Easing will run out of steam and everything which is home grown and indigenous will be blamed to Brexit. I am sorry for my brothers and sisters either remainer or brexiter who was not responsible will suffer most. Rich will depart the isles anyway...

Whether all these happen or not, Scotland and Northern Ireland will break away anyway.

Where is Ireland on the Global Food Security Index, and where is the UK?

The process of kicking the can down the road started in 1990 when Thatcher left.

I have been impressed by how far it has been kicked so far. I suspect it has a long way to go.

You make it sound like Labour are in Power with JC as PM.

Sadly that won't happen. We could do with a house price crash.

That's why the wall is needed.

                  Will Eire agree to that?

No, but Ireland will be forced to. Good luck with getting the chlorinated chicken in though if there is any border, the Irish American lobbyists are already making noises...
