Sending a gun boat did the UK so much good in the cod war. USA told the UK to back off as Iceland threatened to seek closer ties with Russia. And of course the UK government said "of course".

I think the easiest solution is o hand NI over to Ireland.

Not to mention the Irish-American lobbying (vote) with the presidential elections just over the horizon

At present, Northern Ireland vessels are banned from fishing inside the Republic of Ireland's six-mile limit.

But the Republic's fleet has not been excluded from Northern Ireland waters.
This whole EU thing is working so well, isn't it? Far better for all that we just stay in, what can possibly go wrong?
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

Did you learn nothing from the French scallop fiasco? It’s nothing to do with the EU, but with local laws.

Have you not learnt anything from this sub-forum.

EVERYTHING is the fault of Brexit

Storm Freya was the fault of Brexit as were the tornado's in Alabhama

Liverpools failure to beat Everton at Goodison at the weekend has its root cause in Brexit

You name it and you will find Brexit at the heart of the problem
