Tell that to the Scottish Nationalists. They want a referendum every 40 days.....right up until they get the result they want......at which point they will piously decree that "the people have spoken", and abolish the practise.

Sounds like the English Nationalists. Got the vote they want, decreed that it’s the “will of the people”, and (effectively) abolished any future referendum on determining whether that is still true or not...
