Facebook to create 500 tech jobs in London as it opens new engineering hub - CityAM : CityAM

Facebook has said it will create 500 new tech jobs in London by the end of the year as it launches a new engineering centre in Soho.

Roughly 100 of the new roles will be in artificial intelligence, with many of the employees working to detect and remove malicious content, fake accounts and other harmful behaviour, the company said.

The social media firm plans to employ more than 3,000 people across its three London sites by the end of the year, as it ramps up its presence in the capital.
More bad news. Over to the remoaners for some depressing spin....

Sadly, these are not high paying technical jobs but are for people scanning Facebook pages just looking for content that shouldn't be there. Jobs like these are normally performed in 3rd world countries or those where the workforce are paid minimum wages.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Ah! A lot of this work is outsourced at low wage. They must be moving out of successful countries into a failing state.

What do you have against jobs for out-of-work former Labour and Tory MPs, who don't know how to do anything except snoop into other people's business and moral posturing?

These jobs are for those unemployed automotive engineers who don't make the cut for the expanding biscuit, jam and tea sectors.
