Ursula von der Leyen has scraped in by 9 votes. Power but no legitimacy.
Remind me which other vote ended up with a 52% majority

Indeed, she was nominated because the European Parliament couldn't agree on a candidate.
    I'm alright Jack

      I demand a people's / do-over / mulligan / loser's vote

Bit much when they have a single candidate she only gets 52%

      Saddam did better than that.

Its is close to Mugabe's worst wins though.

She has no legitimacy because there was no opposition. Who was running the election, Mugabe?

It's a testament to her incompetence that she only got 52%. They couldn't even find a muppet who was happy to come second. More likely they were scared the muppet might have won

At least there was a vote, all the other top jobs have been stitched up behind closed doors. You can stick your fake "democracy" up your It's a sham, and you're way, way too thick to see it.

There were other candidates which were all rejected. If she would have been rejected another tone would have been put forward. You're talking BS as usual.

              Shades of Gordon Brown eh?
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

She got 52% of votes from 100% of eligible voters.

Rejected by a vote of MEPs? (Rhetorical, in case you hadn't noticed).

Rejected by a vote of 28 democratically elected leaders of the member states.
