Having free access to the biggest single market in the world
let's see those figures compared with the potential of having free access to the USA market.

Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.

I posted the UK figures to preempt the obvious question - "What are the UK figures for the same period?".

Now run along, you're obviously ill-equipped for this kind of debate.

and given what I've been told by some living in Donegal, a large proportion of that money has effectively been put directly into the pockets of individuals by receiving grants, rather than being used by the government of the ROI to improve the infrastructure of the ROI.

I would claim the opposite has happened in the UK, i.e. very little money has been put directly into the pockets of individuals and most of the money has been used to improve the infrastructure. Despite what others have said here about road improvements, if you venture off the N roads, you will encounter roads which are much the same as we had here in the 1950's. Great for driving a vintage car down, but not so good for the travelling infrastructure. It takes me 3.5 hours to drive from Rosslare to Cork. This is a distance of 100 miles. In the UK I regularly travel 160 miles in 2.75 hours.

Rosslare to Cork is 120 miles. It is all N road. It should take a bit under 3 hours. Dublin Airport to Cork will take about the same amount of time and is a bit over your 160 miles. It all depends on the route, just as with the UK.

A better critique of the Irish road system is all the underused (outside Greater Dublin area) expensive motorways.

He's back on his old chestnut about that particular road and how he gets his opinion from the indigenous population of Donegal.
