so do you deny that individuals in the ROI have received generous EU grants to build new properties and renovate old ones, more so than in the UK?

Nice trolling there. You've lost another argument, so you move the goalposts.

Tell me exactly where I said that I denied that any individuals in the RoI received EU grants?

Perhaps you'd care to name the multitude of individuals you know of that definitely "received generous EU grants to build new properties and renovate old ones" and perhaps you'd like to talk about the funding the EU generously poured into Wales, one of the lowest tax contributor areas of the UK.

It seems there is to be another vote on a GE on Monday. Assuming that the no deal Brexit is outlawed and this vote is supported by Jeremy, what if the Conservatives then abstain, just like Jeremy's lot did yesterday? Yes, it keeps the UK in the EU, perhaps temporarily, but it denies Jeremy a GE.

Why Labour would vote for GE on Monday!? They are not (completely) stupid... they will only agree a GE once an extension is agreed and no deal is definitely out of the table. The law passed yesterday doesn't guarantee those 100%.

not really, it's a pun on the fact that some of our English vocals have no equivalent in Chinese or Japanese. Just like English doesn't have an equivalent for the Welsh LL.

you are still missing the point. Individuals, however few or many of them there are, and based on what I was told in Donegal, there are many, received direct grants from the EU to build and renovate their properties. I'm not aware of anyone living locally to me who received a grant directly from the EU to do the same.

Yes, Wales itself was a major recipient of EU funds, but those funds didn't go directly to individuals. Which I believe is part of the reason why Wales as a whole voted to leave the EU and the citizens of the ROI would have voted the opposite way if they'd had a chance. Wasn't there a vote in recent times which went against EU aspirations and when the benefits were upped, the ROI citizens then voted to accept what was on offer?

Wales is one of the lowest tax contributors because we are amongst the lowest paid in the UK. So you can't use that argument.

well, I was assuming that the no deal Brexit would have been illegal by then, judging on what I'm hearing on the BBC. But then, they are biased, so who knows. Jeremy has said he would only vote for a GE when a no deal Brexit was made illegal.
