You also need to look at the voting records of the current crop of Lib Dems (*), you might just as well call them 'Orange Tories' especially as it now seems the party that disaffected Tories are jumping to. I would be be very wary until they actually put it down in writing on their official election pledges that they will revoke Brexit. Now the Greens or SNP, we already know that they're against Brexit...
(*) Jo Swinson has a particularly awful voring record, she consistently voted to reduce welfare and benefits, including cutting payments for people with illnesses or disabilities. She also voted to cut the Educational Maintenance Allowance for 16-to-19-year-olds. And she helped to raise university tuition fees, despite promising not to as one of the key policies that helped elect many Lib Dem MPs in 2010. Her track record on environmental issues, meanwhile, shows she supported the badger cull, fracking and HS2.
Bottom line is if you are remainer outside of Scotland your only sensible choice is Lib-Dem, the least of all evils. Any government policy can be backtracked come next elections. Brexit can't realistically be rolled back.Comment

In fairness it's a good move by them, they have long established themselves as the remain party.
I think they will pull more votes away from Labour/Conservatives than the Brexit Party will, maybe enough to get them into a coalitionOriginally posted by Stevie Wonder BoyI can't see any way to do it can you please advise?

Remainers still bleat that the referendum was advisory (wasn't there a thread about this on here recently?) and that election pledges shouldn't be honoured, so why trust the LD's?
I think they'll get a few more seats and then support a minority Labour government in coalition. That'll be interesting when it comes to the socialist policies being advanced by John McDonnell and Comrade K's apparent Eurosceptic tendencies
Fun times
Update: LDs say they won't prop up a Corbyn government.Last edited by Platypus; 16 September 2019, 16:06.Comment

Lib Dems were consistent on the matter and it’s in their interest to continue to do so - this is a very rare case when political party’s self interest is aligned with voters.Comment
