Why would Labour agree to an election? Best to wait for the tulip to hit the fan first (which it will) and blame the whole lot on the Tories.

The Tories can hold a vote of no confidence in their own party and that could cause a GE to be held. There is one slight problem, the election cannot be held before at least the 25th October. Maybe that is what Rees-Mogg was hinting at yesterday when he promised “an exciting announcement”
I remember the great plan of writing a letter to the EU requesting an extension. Then another letter telling the EU to ignore it. Dear God.....Comment

It has just been confirmed in Parliament that the earliest an election can take place is the....5th November...“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

The opposition would be crazy to agree to an election, or table a VoNC, while there is still a possibility of no-deal.
You can bet your bottom dollar that Johnson, Cummings et al are plotting to circumvent/disregard the Benn Act.
Johnson has already demonstrated that he has little respect for the rule of law.
If you thought proroguing Parliament was bad, I get the feeling there's much worse mischief to come.Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.Comment

I can't see a call for no confidence vote, and run the risk of: Putting Jo Swindon in government to REVOKE article 50 then immediately declare an election? Tory vote now split with Brexit party? Labour would agree to this and blame the tories for botching Brexit.
Boris just needs to ride out the noise until the 31st. Would the e.u. extend the agreement while Boris was tried for contempt of court? Is the next big question. It would also give Boris an out of the situation as he can no longer sit as an MP if convicted, he can then become the next Farage, champion of the gammons.Last edited by BlueSharp; 26 September 2019, 13:59.Make Mercia Great Again!Comment

You need to be a bit more accommodating of the tax avoiders at the moment. I hear that BJ announced some review of the loan scheme case. This means BJ is now the messiah of the tax dodging community and they have formed a cult around him. All tax Dodgers are being instructed to be vocal on social media and support BJ and his actions.Vote Corbyn ! Save this country !Comment
