Do people even need/want a british passport anymore?

At the moment, EU citizens that are granted settled status can live outside of the uk for up to 5 consecutive years without losing their settled status.

I successfully completed my application for British citizenship, but didn't take it up because of brexit. At least I can keep my EU passport (which I would have lost if I were to take up British citizenship) and can work in 27 remaining EU countries and I did already have permanent residency and now settled status in the UK as well.

In a race to the bottom, we need all the turds we can lay our hands on...
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

I've just applied for a renewal, I wonder if it will be blue...I can use my UK one when entering and leaving the UK so I don't have to stand in the non-UK queue and then my EU one for 27 other countries so I don't have to stand in the the non-EU queue...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

What makes you think that you're the only one entitled to more than one passport?

                    Ich auch.

We should consider our dual status as another feather in our cap for these niche contracts. Recently I've had an UK agent question my ability to work in the EU post Brexit for a UK client, which I thought they were not allowed to ask. Hey ho.
