      Fingers crossed

Depending on your views we'll either have Brexit done in time for Christmas, or delayed for another 6 months (at least).

It's due or die for the Tories. If they don't get a majority to move on with Brexit, It will be a 2nd ref. and very likely Remain win.

At which point their only appeal to a population fed up with 10 years of Tory led austerity will spell the doom of the Tories for the foreseeable future.

Corbin's Labour is hard Left, Tories are hard right, why isn't there a credible centre ground option...

If only the Lib dems weren't such a useless waste of space...

              Exactly this.

I know the memes love to describe as the Tories lurching to the extreme right but if you look at their attitude to public spending under May and in the current manifesto, this isn't really the case at all. May was described as being a "red Tory" remember. Their manifesto spending plans have been described as over-ambitious/unrealistic.

As Labour moves from slightly left of centre to quite left of centre (anyone who thinks they are far-left hasn't read many books) the Tories have capitalised by trying to grab the centrist vote that New Labour attracted - middle-class working families. The proper right-wingers have nowhere else to go so they can go pretty centrist without losing those.

The Tories need a very slim coalition majority, that way they can continue to blame everyone else.

                  Oh look.

Thank you, I will. School holidays started early?

The Tories no longer need the DUP to support them. That's a £1.5bn saving. In fact, NI is now a political irrelevance to the English parties, and if BJ/Cums can convince certain individuals, now would be a good time to call for a united Ireland vote (as per the GFA).

We can also expect a lot of backtracking over the next few weeks - the manifesto only being conceptual ideas, not plans, etc. When the results are narrow, you can always blame others for not being able to do what you want. When it's a landslide, you can't. They must deliver the promised hard brexit, hard borders, build 40 new hospitals, employ 50,000 new nurses. Nothing to stop them doing that.

When your party has been in power for 9+ years, you can't continue to blame previous governments. The promises of balancing books, etc are long gone, and forgotten by the faithful.
