    You heard it here first.

That'd be a change, Labour bailing the UK out of a mess. That said they've plenty of experience creating the mess in the first place.

Indeed but Boris wasn't in charge. The party of Churchill, McMillan etc is no more.

      I'm alright Jack

Given that there have been more recessions under Conservative leadership than Labour over the past 100 years, and given that the Conservatives have borrowed more in the last 9 years than the cumulative total borrowed by all previous Labour governments, you may need to provide more evidence of your assertion.

How many times have Labour been in power in the past 100 years?

There have been 16 Conservative PMs and 8 Labour.

You have to be in it to **** it up, and Labour just aren't in it.

QED. If Labour aren’t in it, then they haven’t ****ed it up.

            Your words....

Indeed. Unfortunately the last few times Labour have been in power they've ****ed up big style.

Oh well, at least we agree that we have to keep Labour out of power. A step forward methinks.

The difference between Labour and Conservative is not that Labour increase deficits, history shows they don't, not any more than the Conservatives. That is simply a myth. The difference is they raise taxes and spend more because they raise more in tax.

You can't keep Labour out forever, they will be in again and if Boris screws up, which is what it looks like, a Labour government will be voted in so raising taxes even more than they would do if the economy were to be booming.

In other words Tory voters will be footing the bill for their own mistakes sooner or later.

No, all we’ve agreed is that you can’t keep a coherent argument, and that you can’t provide any substance to what little argument you might have.

Continuing to claim that Labour have “****ed up big style” without evidence, while ignoring the major ****ups of the Conservatives, is not a viable position.

exactly, thx for illustrating my point.

What is interesting is that the biggest surpluses were under a Labour government, which is not surprising as they raise taxes as they did in 1997.
