    It's a small percentage, but invested and compounded over time it's a lot of money.

    Try this, put £35,000,000,000 a year into a a basket of investments, giving an average 5% return p.a., compounded for 30 years, and tell me how much that is at the the end....

    It's more than £3trn pounds. Enough to pay all the UK debt and still have at least £1,000,000,000,000 left over....

    You saying the UK has invested £1,050 billion in the EU over the last 30 years and not one penny of benefit to businesses and individuals?

    Can you provide a source for that?
