Why would you use palm oil in bread? Flour, salt and water is all you need... Yeast optional

I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).

That's not what was said. They are a bakery and bread is not their only product.

Many commercial bakers do use palm oil in their bread though. It "improves" the texture of the bread, keeps it from going stale for longer and helps maintain consistency.

Read the ingredients list on a loaf of commercial supermarket bread. There is a lot more in it than just flour, water and yeast.

When I used to make bread (mostly sourdough) at home, I'd add some olive oil to it.
