From whom are we protecting them? Themselves?

When the EU has its own army, there'll be no need for NATO. They'll have nukes courtesy of the French, and a navy courtesy of the Italians. What could possibly go wrong...?

You really need to ditch your inferiority complex. Whoops, I forget, you're a Remainer! Silly me!

And what will you do if they don't? Wet your knickers again?

It's not what I may or may not do if they don't meet their NATO commitments that should concern you.

It's what President Trump will do if they don't that should.

Don't you think it's important for countries to meet the commitments that they signed-up to and benefit from? Or does your hatred of BREXIT blind you so much that you cannot tolerate any criticism of EU countries?

The Europeans pay the US for their bases in Europe, so Trump won't be going anywhere.

There are no UK bases in Europe.
    I'm alright Jack

    Well that's completely irrelevant information.

My question was : Do you think countries should stand by their commitments?

Countries in NATO commit to spending 2% of GDP on defence. Only a small number of the members meet their commitment.

President Trump doesn't stand up to his commitments on other matters, so why should the Europeans?
