We'll see how the EU turns out. The UK Brexit movement seems to be more of a reincarnation of Yugoslavia under Slobodan Milosevic. That didn't go well either.

    I'm alright Jack

He is suggesting that after WWII what was left of the UK should have fought Stalin with his massive Army so the parts of Poland that ended up under Russian rule could have been free. NAT's Grandma could have thrown her teddy at the Russkies!

Some people a just stupid. We were on our knees though-out most of the war the Soviets & Americans saved us.

Chamberlin was more clever than history records. The UK was not ready and nor prepared for war. Once the peace treaty was signed, the UK immediately went flat out with war production. Without the delay of the peace agreement, the UK would have been fu&&ed

Both of my parents were actively there (WW2) . Father wounded and disabled in action. Grandfather lost both legs in WW1.

My mum, one of 12 children in the family were involved in ammunition production. She later joined the fire brigade during WW2.

It's not that much of a stretch to imagine that he's been secretly running the EU from there. This would certainly explain a lot of things, like why the EU has been undermining this country all these years.

It's obvious when you think about it.
Yeah like Stalin personally would have been negligent about it - hint: NKVD recovered the body

While Chamberlain may have been slightly naive his advisers were sure we weren't ready.

Germany was involved in 5 wars/conflicts since WW2 all under UN/NATO umbrella
Uk was involved in around 30, including civil war in NI, killing their own citizen and many of them not under UN/NATO umbrella

Which country is more peaceful I wonder

When you say the "Americans saved us", they sold/loaned us troops, equipment and supplies. The initial US involvement in WWII was not about them wanting to "save an ally" it was a financial transaction.
