Keep calm. A wrecked economy is surely worth it (?)

Britain’s membership of the EU-wide exchange scheme known as Erasmus+ is to expire at the end of this year, alongside membership of the EU. But the government’s negotiating outline offered scant hope of continued full membership, saying only that it “will consider options for participation in elements of Erasmus+ on a time-limited basis, provided the terms are in the UK’s interests

Quitting the EU’s Erasmus student exchange programme would “blow a hole” in the UK’s economy, taking away income of £243m a year and depriving 17,000 British young people of valuable work experience, according to a group of education and business leaders.”
Something more that "needs to be dealt with".

That would have looked good on the side of a bus...

If you are referring to misspelling, that part was done intentionally. You'd find it similarly written in my other posts.

Although I do misspell sometimes due to being either being drunk, not paying attention or plainly ignorant.
And it does take guts to say it.

Said a bunch of people who have vested interest in the Erasmus programme cos it is financially beneficial for them.

                Weak response.

For clarity this involves around 16000 British students getting EU funding to take up places in foreign countries (mainly the EU but also eg Norway). Yes the quote comes from academic organiastions that also get funding but the irrefutable fact is this is EU money coming into our economy and reckless gamblers like you (and the entire Conservative Party) (and the entire population of Homo Brexiitis who voted for a buffoon prime minister) have arranged for this support to be destroyed.

You were allowed to carry this act of financial violence but please don't pretend you didn't do it.

                  Democracy has spoken

As a country we need to move on and look for the fantastic global trade opportunities that are out there once this conoravirus is out the way. The weak EU will strike a deal with us at the end of the year or a little later and we can start putting back the "Great" in Great Britain. It's worth noting that all the money we pay into the EU to subsidise the poorer countries in the bloc can be spent at home!

So what you are saying is that for the sake of 0.04% of the population we should have stayed in the EU?

Look if the Erasmus program goes then that is a shame - however if it is seen as beneficial then I am sure there will be other solutions.

This is the problem - do not fixate on what is going to change and be concerned that is should not - concentrate on supporting the change for a brighter future.
