Default U.S.A. Trade Deal (and mentioning the Antipodes)

    Oh dear: https://www.ft.com/content/383f174e-baa4-49c5-86c3-d2b5f6453fd4

And just to add to that: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...underestimated

A scoping assessment published by the U.K. government ahead of trade negotiations with Australia estimated a long run boost to U.K. GDP of 0.02%. A similar assessment for an accord with New Zealand suggested the impact would be negligible.

Ah, but are they really? The real question here is, is why haven't they performed these studies recently so they would be better informed when going into trade talks? They've now asked some guy to help out, what happens if he comes out with the answer that the 2011 figures were over estimates? This is very typical of the current government as we've seen recently, COVID and Brexit, that they are quite useless and it all seems to be done on hope and a prayer....

Bojo has sacked major civil servants and appointed his own lackeys just like Trump did. I would say that the government web-page about Australia is full of empty and mislead rhetoric. It just shows the sorry state of the current government.
