Anyone staying in their holiday home in France for more than 90 consecutive days will need a French visa and insurance, the same goes for Spain; so ha, ha, f***ing ha for those with holiday homes who voted for Brexit.
If they can take 90+ days' holiday every year, a ten quid visa and a specialist insurance policy shouldn't present too much of an issue.

A lot of older people have pre-existing conditions. Not so easy to get the insurance then.

But they're not going to go abroad and die of pre-existing conditions. They're going to stay in the UK, whining about how the EUSSR is punishing them for daring to break free of its shackles.

You are like Bojo, make it up as you go.

Maximum 2 x 90 days per year. Visa is 90 Euros per single entry. Won't be allowed to work, not even to take their garden produce to the farmer's market.
