2018 trade with Japan was £29billion
Our new deal, which is historic, far better, etc, is expected to be worth almost £15billion!

The devil is in the detail.

Tariff free access for more [not all] UK goods – new and more liberal Rules of Origin will allow producers of coats, knitwear and biscuits to source inputs from around the world for their exports to Japan – making it easier and cheaper for them to sell to the Japanese market

          Is it only advisory?

I mean, a deal that's worth half as much as the previous deal is great deal!

The Japanese government now knows that the UK is happy to breach international obligations in limited and specific ways.

Was it just me who couldn't keep a straight face when our trade secretary was whittering on about Melton Pork Pie exports to Japan on morning TV today?

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.
