I thought that PL/SQL was limited to Oracle (release 6 onwards), DB/2 (version 9.7 onwards) or TimesTen (version 11.2.1 onwards). What else uses PL/SQL?

Hive and Hadoop is another possibility.

In addition to that some business acumen on how to turn those pieces into tangible benefits to the business.

While I have all of those I'm actually more of a cloud analytics specialist using Microsoft technologies. It just so happens in this instance that at various points I diverged into each of the above.

Sounds like a column store database with something like tableau or qlivkiew, pretty rare up north but not so much in London

Ah yeah, was looking at that yesterday, literally doing stuff with our ETL right now.

My point is not to pin your hopes on a "startup that could make millions". It almost certainly won't. In fact, it's such a long shot that you may as well stick an extra £5 on the lottery every week instead. Just as much chance of hitting the jackpot with a hell of a lot less effort and stress.

I know that but it can be ported directly across according to that confluence page.
A lot of others HANA, for one, would require a re-write.

I certainly wasn't, the complete opposite as it happens.
Nearly all my family are in business on their own account and they all make good money, not millions.
